By accessing and using SafetyKit (the "Service"), provided by People in Tech LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Description of Service
SafetyKit is an educational application that provides:
- AI-powered digital safety guidance and conversations
- Educational courses on online safety topics
- Link and email security scanning
- Platform-specific safety guides (TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
- Troubleshooting guides for common digital safety incidents
SafetyKit is an educational tool, not a monitoring or surveillance app. We do not track or monitor your children's online activity.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use SafetyKit. By using the Service, you represent that you are of legal age and have the authority to agree to these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Subscription Plans
SafetyKit offers subscription plans:
- Monthly subscription: $7.99/month
- Annual subscription: $39.99/year
4.2 Payment Processing
All subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to their respective terms and conditions. We do not store your payment information.
4.3 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel anytime through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
4.4 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Abuse the AI assistant with spam or malicious content
- Scrape or extract data from the Service
- Resell or redistribute our content without permission
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of SafetyKit are owned by People in Tech LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
SafetyKit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- All security threats will be detected
- AI guidance will be 100% accurate in all situations
- The Service will meet your specific needs
SafetyKit is an educational tool. It does not replace professional advice from law enforcement, legal counsel, or mental health professionals when needed.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, People in Tech LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of SafetyKit, including but not limited to data loss, security breaches on third-party platforms, or harm resulting from following AI guidance.
9. Third-Party Services
SafetyKit integrates with third-party services (Have I Been Pwned, Intelbase, Google Gemini AI) to provide threat detection and AI functionality. We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of these third-party services.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to SafetyKit if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior. You may cancel your subscription anytime through your App Store or Google Play account.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of SafetyKit after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your State/Jurisdiction].
